Sewer Line 101
The sewer line is the pipe that transports waste water where it exits your home or business to the city or county (municipal) sewer. It is an underground section of pipe on the outside. A Clean-Out is an access point along the sewer line where the pipe can be accessed along the path to the municipal sewer. Not all homes and businesses have a clean-out, but they are very helpful in providing access to the mid-section of the pipe. You may experience gurgling sounds or full blockage with sewage backup inside. This could be a blockage in the pipes inside (drain pipe) or it could be in the sewer pipe on the exterior of the home or business. Our expert plumbers can research and diagnose the problem.

RootX and GreaseX Suppliers
If you have root infestation or root intrusion in your sewer pipes, you may be a good candidate for RootX treatment. We recommend treating with RootX, then following up with hydro jetting 2 - 3 months later to remove the completely dead roots.

Common Sewer Problems
You can experience problems inside when the outside sewer line is clogged, broken, cracked, sagging, or in poor shape from aging. Tree roots tend to cause a large number of problems. Roots will seek water underground and love to find their way into a small crack in a pipe. Once roots gain access, they will continue to multiply and cause a root infestation inside the pipe. Pipes can also be clogged when anything other than waste or toilet paper is flushed. Grease especially will cause pipes to clog over time as it sticks to the sides, hardens and clogs the pipes over time. Older types of pipe such as Orangeburg and cast iron will deteriorate over time and cause waste and toilet paper to hang up inside the pipe and cause blockage. New sewer line installations are typically installed with pvc. A sagging pipe will cause a belly or low area in the sewer line and sewage isn't able to flow out of the pipe as it should. Pipes can sag or develop low areas due to ground shifting / settling, erosion, inadequate soil compaction, or other above-ground environmental factors.
Our trained and experienced plumbers have a variety of equipment and tools to understand the problem and provide a solution. They will explain the problem to you and offer a solution or sometimes multiple solutions / options to remedy the problem.
